World Information: Like in the original Sailor Moon canon, there was both the normal, unassuming Earth and the mythical "Silver Millennium" Moon Kingdom that once resided on the Moon. The Moon still remains ruined since the day the Dark Kingdom attacked, the Earth has changed in the time since then.

Personal History: The story would begin the same: Usagi Tsukino was once Princess Serenity of the "Silver Millennium". She would fall in love the Terran Prince Endymion despite the taboo between the two. However, things would be brought to an end when the Dark Kingdom, lead by Queen Beryl under the command of her master Queen Metallia, attacked the Moon Kingdom. The attack ravaged the Moon Kingdom, killing everyone there. However, the Queen of the Moon sealed away the Dark Kingdom and used a special spell to allow those of the Moon Kingdom to be revived in better times.

However, something went terribly wrong. The spell that was meant to send everyone to the future to be reborn once more went off a little too well. Where everyone would have awoken in the 1990s to finish the fight, the Sailor Guardians were instead scattered outside of Minako, who still became Sailor V.

In this timeline, the usually clumsy and scatterbrained Usagi grew up a little more elegant and more expansive. No longer totally lost in the idea of guys and comic books, this Usagi grew up with a love for astronomy and the unknown. In her spare time, Usagi would happily disassemble things and reassemble them if she wasn't hanging out with her friends. However, everything changed when, on her way to school, Usagi found and chased off a group of kids harassing a poor cat. With the cat safe, she would pull off a bandage on its forehead, revealing a crescent moon. The cat ran off in surprise, but kept its eye on the girl. Realizing her skills, she knew she was the one.

The cat would call herself “Luna” and that Usagi was chosen to find the Moon Princess and the Silver Crystal and to defeat the resurrected Dark Kingdom. To do so, Luna have Usagi a special brooch and showed her how to transform with it, becoming the first of the Sailor Guardians, Sailor Moon. to find However, Usagi’s bewilderment at being someone she dreamed off was cut off as danger was detected - her friend Naru was in trouble; her mother had been replaced with a monster in search of the Silver Crystal. Usagi tried to battle the monster but it got the upper hand. However, something changed in Usagi. Instead of screaming in panic, she doubled down and defeated the beast, leaving a mysterious tuxedoed figure curious.

As Usagi battled the Dark Kingdom, Luna noted something interesting - she was certain that other Sailor Guardians would be around, but for some reason, she hadn't found them. Even more so, Usagi was starting to tap into powers she shouldn't have, becoming stronger. As it turned out, Usagi had messed with the brooch to figure out how it worked, realizing that the thing was being held back. To help Usagi, Luna gave Usagi two new devices - the Moon Stick and the Moon Forge.

In her fights with the Dark Kingdom, Usagi would defeat the general Jadite, using the Moon Forge to trick him into being crushed, while saving the general Nephrite from the traitorous Zoicite. At the same time, these battles would constantly lead her to encounter the mysterious Tuxedo Mask, bouncing between team ups and battles against one another.

This got worse as the Dark Kingdom sought out the mysterious Rainbow Crystals, dragging Usagi and Tuxedo Mask into the fight, leading the three sides into a fight - the Dark Kingdom to reawaken the monsters they were connected to, Usagi to protect the crystals and restore the Silver Crystal and Tuxedo Mask to restore his memories. Even with the arrival of Minako, revealing her identity as Sailor Venus, appearing to aid Usagi, the Dark Kingdom and Tuxedo Mask gained the crystals. The two Sailors attempted to regain the crystals, but in the ensuing clash, both Tuxedo Mask and Minako were struck down, revealing the former was actually high school student Mamoru Chiba, who had been pestering her for the longest time.

Usagi's mourning for her lost friend triggered something bad, however. The Rainbow Crystals reacted to Usagi's feelings, but while they created the Silver Crystal once more, a second figure appeared - Princess Serenity, who looked exactly like Usagi! Serenity stole Usagi's brooch and killed Zoicite before absconding with Mamoru into the Dark Kingdom. Even more, the Rainbow and Silver Crystals remained, attaching themselves to the Moon Stick and Moon Forge respectively before reviving Minako.

Out of confusion, Minako's feline companion, Artemis, figured out what was going on and explained to the girls - If Usagi was meant to be Princess Serenity, then Mamoru was meant to be Prince Endymion. However, Usagi had no feelings for Mamoru at all as her encounters with him were mostly antagonistic and that clashed with Serenity's feelings. The revival of the Silver Crystal allowed her to manifest. With Mamoru clinging to life, Princess Serenity now saw it fit to ravage the world that tried to take her prince again, using Usagi's old brooch to become Princess Sailor Moon.

Using the Moon Forge, Usagi created a new brooch, one that couldn't be manipulated or taken by other forces, and confronted the remaining General, Kunzite, and Princess Sailor Moon with Minako by her side. In these battles, Usagi and Minako sought to find the entrance to the Dark Kingdom's base. In the process, they were brought to the remains of the Moon Kingdom, where they encountered Queen Serenity. There, they discovered their lost past and that the Silver Crystal fluctuating in power caused the other Sailor Guardians to scatter more than they should have. Usagi realized that her tampering with her powers meant that she was trying to compensate for those lost companions unconsciously. While the Queen asked Usagi and Minako to find these other girls, she also implored her to let them have their lives.

Back in the real world, the two were able to finally defeat Kunzite and discover the entrance just as Queen Beryl and Princess Serenity prepared to wake up Queen Metalia. The duo would face down the remains of the Dark Kingdom, leading to a final confrontation between Serenity and Usagi. In the ensuing battle, Usagi implored Serenity to stand down, that there was no need to fight. Serenity refused, that a life without her Endymion was a life not living. However, Usagi countered that a life stuck in the past was just as bad. She told her the Queen told her to live her own life, that she didn't want her to be stuck in such terrible fates. Shocked and shattered, Serenity tried to take her own life, only for Usagi to save her, calling her sister. Humbled by Usagi's actions, Serenity surrendered her brooch and accepted her as family. The original brooch and the new brooch fused into a new brooch, turning Usagi into a new form - New Sailor Moon.

Usagi told Minako to get both Serenity and Mamoru out, that she would deal with Beryl and Metallia. Metalia, not willing to give up without a fight, took over Beryl's body and challenged New Sailor Moon to one final fight. In the ensuing fight, she realized that she had the power within the Silver Crystal to obliterate her, but doing so meant that she could die. Instead, Usagi used the healing power of the Moon Stick to instead purify the beings, the healing wave causing the two to be vaporized due to Metalia's evil.

With the Dark Kingdom defeated, the revived Mamoru stayed with Serenity, living a happy life elsewhere. Minako, knowing that there were other Sailor Guardians around, sought them out, hoping to find new friends and promising to come to Usagi's aid if she called. And Usagi? She continued to watch over her world as New Sailor Moon.

Personality: The Usagi of this universe acts slightly similarly to the Usagi of the anime. She's still clumsy and it isn't a surprise to see Usagi hit the ground tripping over her feet, but it wasn't a fall she'd sit there and cry about. She was also not a crybaby as her counterpart - she will cry if something terrible happens, but she isn't one to turn on the wail at the slightest bump.

The biggest change to her is her intelligence. This Usagi isn't the dimwit begging for help, lost in manga and anime and procrastinating in doing her homework. This isn't the girl who constantly gets terrible grades and barely got into high school. This was an Usagi who enjoyed studying and knowing the world around her. This curiosity allowed her to take up an interest in astronomy, knowing about the stars and the planets, as well as a desire to discover how things worked.

She is still a softy at heart. She will protect those who need protecting, showing mercy to those who deserve it. She saved Nephrite when Zoicite tried to kill him and convinced Serenity to stand down. However, this isn't naivety, as she will strike down anyone who tries to double cross her or her friends.

Despite this, Usagi has numerous flaws. Unlike the normal Usagi, who had a group of friends who she could fall back on, this Usagi went at things by herself. Due to this, she has a bit of a problem trusting others to have her back, even after she had Minako's help. This also means that she'll gladly throw herself into danger by herself even when things doesn't need to descend that far when a group can handle things just as well with less the danger.

She also has a minor bit of a self esteem issue. Having no other teammates in her early adventures meant that her only companion that she could trust was a talking cat. Thus, trying to talk to her other friends made her wary of talking further about her adventures. As well, as she never harbored feelings for Mamoru/Tuxedo Mask, Usagi has a bit of a self-esteem issue dealing with finding her own love life, sometimes feeling that her mission as a heroine is greater than her own desires. Sometimes, however, those feelings can break, as she refused the idea of being bolted down to her past.

Key themes: Freedom, heroism

Main Motivation: To continue protecting others

Skills:

Astronomy Nut: As a budding astrologer, Usagi has a minor understanding in celestial bodies and has a better idea of science and math.

Magical Technician: Usagi has the know-how to assemble, disassemble and improve magical devices. This can be adjusted for mundane items.

New Sailor Moon: Usagi's transformed state. Upon the callsign "Full Crystal Moon, Make Up!", Usagi transforms into New Sailor Moon. Design-wise, it resembles the Eternal Sailor Moon costume, but replacing the multi-layered skirting with a longer blue skirt, hiding a pair of black biking shorts and a longcoat that attaches to her trademark bow on her chest. Though the material feels lightweight, Usagi's modifications have made the costume much more durable (Usagi believes the original costumes were designed without such dangers in mind)

Because of the modifications, Usagi's natural strength and agility is enhanced, no longer leaving her physically normal. This allowed her to fight monsters hand to hand and even defeat them that way. She can use her tiara on her head to charge it up with magic and throw it as the Moon Tiara Action, a frisbee-like attack. The Moon Stick a large pink wand as tall as she is with a crescent moon on its head. When the Silver Crystal is mounted, she can use it as a powerful weapon, launching energy blasts (Shooting Star Burst) that could be charged (Meteor Wish). However, it is mostly used as a healing device, purifying items and healing most wounds, nothing worse than severed/lost limbs (Moon Healing Escalation).

On her right arm is the Moon Forge, mounting the Rainbow Crystals and the Silver Crystal. The Rainbow Crystals allow her to access the powers of the inactive Sailor Guardians - Mercury, Mars, Jupiter, Uranus, Saturn, Neptune and Pluto. This allows her to control the elements (fire, ice, water, wind, electricity), time, and destruction. However, unlike the other heroines, who had much greater control of their powers, Usagi's is more varied and unrefined. If anything, it would be used as boosts to her usual attacks. The Forge can also allow her to imbue an ally with those powers, though she has yet to figure that part out.

Item: The Double Crystal Star, the brooch Usagi always keeps at her side. Size of her palm. A large star with two crescent moons on the center, seven different colored jewels scattered on the cover.

Sample: Usagi found herself in the library, looking over the various books. Now, she wasn't something of a bookworm, but when she needed to figure out something, she would run to look at various books. Oh, sure, not as fun as manga, but as a curious girl as she was, there was always time to deviate from fun.

Everything about the train and its passengers made her feel... uneasy. The train needed her help. They needed her help. They wanted her to pitch in. It was something she wasn't used to. Taking care of the train was one thing, but the threats they dealt with? Aiding in making life easier? Could she trust them? They were all seem friendly, and yet...

She knew why she was in the library. Because she was terrified of helping them. Letting her guise as Sailor Moon be the more trustworthy person here. With a small sigh, she closed up the book she was looking at. She wasn't going to find her answers there - she would have to meet them head on...
